City Ballet students Emma Powers and Jeraldine Mendoza have passed their final exams and graduated from the world renowned Bolshoi Academy in Moscow. Emma and Jeraldine were the first American students to graduate from the Academy, in its 236 year history. Congratulations Emma and Jeraldine!

Emma Rubinowitz and Gemma Prater took 2nd and 3rd place respectively in the Senior Classical Division at the Youth America Grand Prix Regional Competition. Emma Rubinowitz and Alex Reneff-Olson won 1st place in the Ensemble Category and Galina was given Outstanding Teacher Award!

We were honored to have Suki Schorer, famed New York City Principal dancer and now master teacher at the School of American Ballet, come and give a very special class to our pre-professional students.

Alexandra Martin, pre-professional level, was one of ten American High School dancers chosen for the prestigious National Security Language Initiative for Youth Program, funded by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. She will spend six weeks studying Russian language, culture and ballet at the renowned Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow.

Lucius Kirst from our pre-professional level, will be attending The Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis at ABT, this fall, on full scholarship.
