City Ballet School's extensive Academic Year includes three to four performance opportunities, a dynamic, cross-discipline Summer Intensive program, and, for the aspiring dancer, a Pre-Professional division.

City Ballet School's excellent teachers were hand selected to ensure that each student receives the most advanced ballet education possible. In addition to Artistic Director Galina Alexandrova, the school boasts a Master Teacher, Lupe Calzadilla, a former National Ballet of Cuba principal dancer. City Ballet is also fortunate to have Yuri Zhukov, a world class choreographer and former Kirov and San Francisco Ballet principal dancer.

Located in the heart of San Francisco's performing arts district, City Ballet School features an 11,000 square foot facility designed exclusively for dance. The studios have natural lighting, tall open beam ceilings, and sprung Harlequin studio dance floors.

Our facilities are host to both Smuin Ballet and City Dance Studios.
