City Youth Ballet Foundation, the non-profit partner to City Ballet - San Francisco, will be hosting a fantastic event: the 2019 Fall Gala Performance, on October 19th at the Cowell Theater, San Francisco.
The evening will embark at 5:00pm with a festive party and fundraiser for City Ballet - San Francisco, including eats, drinks, and a silent auction; and will be followed by a performance at 7:00pm featuring dancers in Levels I through the Pre-Professional Division, Boys I & II.
We welcome and encourage anyone to attend, both to support our singular school, and to help raise the essential funds to see us through the exciting year to come: including our legendary all-levels production of The Nutcracker, and a new production of Cinderella in May at the Palace of Fine Arts Theatre.
As many of you are aware, there is a very sizable gap between school tuition and the actual expense of providing students with essential pedagogy, performance experience, costumes, and original choreography. Moreover, it has always been City Ballet’s mandate to offer support to all deserving dancers — including those who might lack the financial resources for the years of training required to seek a professional career in dance.
So how do we make up the difference?
1. First, through your very attendance: the purchase of a ticket gains you admittance to both the Gala fundraiser AND the performance in the Cowell Theater.
2. Second, by your participation in the silent auction — both as donors and enthusiastic shoppers!
Admission: Each donation of $100 buys Adults admission to event. Each additional $40 buys admission for Children (must be accompanied by an adult). All donations are 100% tax deductible.
Attire: semi formal.
